Green Clean: Make safer, more effective & less expensive cleaners using essential oils

How dangerous is your home? Did you know the chemicals you are using to keep your home clean could actually be damaging your family’s health? The air inside our homes has been found to be 5x's more polluted than the air outside of our homes.  In fact, Silent Spring Institute found concentrations of toxic chemicals in our homes linked to diseases to be 200-500 times higher than outside.  One of the major reasons toxicity in our homes is elevated is due to traditional cleaning supplies. Making your own natural, green cleaning supplies is one of the simplest ways you can decrease toxicity within your home.

Did you know you can make safer, more effective, and less expensive cleaners using essential oils and ingredients from your kitchen pantry? I will teach you how to make your own green cleaning products for a fraction of the cost of traditional products. Here are a few of my favorite recipes.

This glass & surface cleaner is my favorite! I use it for everything including washing my fruits and vegetables. Take that Windex!

Soft scrub was one of the things I missed most when I transitioned to a toxin-free cleaning routine.  Thankfully, I learned how to make my own version which works just as well, if not better than the original.  It even cleans my glass cooktop!

Clean your toilet bowl with the "toilet bomb" which is just as effective as bleach without irritating your lungs. Plus, you essentially get to make a baking soda and vinegar volcano in your toilet! Even your kids will want to help you clean the toilet.

Freshen up your carpets with this easy carpet refresher recipe.  This will make your whole house smell wonderful without the use of synthic air fresheners which can disrupt your hormones and damage the mucus lining in your nose.

Make your wood look as good as new with this simple olive oil and essential oil wood polish recipe. I was able to restore an old, sun-beaten wooden bench to its original shine with this restorative wood polish.

Great Post Rigel, I always use baking soda for almost everything that i need to clean. Except the oven which is the hardest part to clean in a green way without using any chemicals. I will start using your wood polish recipe, the after photo of that bench is impressive ;)
